Official Quotes & Reactions
A spokesperson of the TVS Motor Company said:
Since GST has been adjusted now to 18% on the few two wheelers where it was previously 28, we have automatically transferred the advantage to our end users. The new ex-showroom prices shall be applicable as of 22 September 2025. This is what we think makes the Apache RR310 and RTR310 much more appealing to people who are looking to get their first premium bike.
Even industry experts have not been left behind. Ramesh Suri, the Vice President of Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) told CNBC-TV18:
This is an opportune price adjustment. During the festive quarter, it is common to record a boom in the demand of premium sportbikes. The reduction in prices up to ₹ 26,000 will not only increase the sales but also provide the dealerships with a more powerful festival impulse.

To the customers, the decrease is significant. In such metros as Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai the on-road price of the RR310 now is below ₹ 3 lakh in most variants, relieving financial planning of buyers who were formerly operating on tight budgets.
Society of Indian automobile manufacturers (SIAM) indicates that there has been a consistent growth of 12-15 percent per annum in the past three years in motorcycle 250-400CC segment dominated by young urban buyers. The government will be decreasing taxes in order to stimulate the sales further, which will increase the manufacturing levels and turnover at dealerships.
A rider in Assam (27) Rahul Pegu who was planning to upgrade to a 200cc bike gave an opinion: I always had a desire to buy the RR310, but the prices seemed to be too high. I am thinking of booking it in Diwali with an estimated ₹ 26, 000 off. It makes a big change when you happen to be buying the bike on credit.
This makes the Apache RR310 more price-competitive to KTM RC 390 and Yamaha R3 that still sells at high ex-showroom rates. It is anticipated that this momentum will enable TVS to establish the Apache line as the value-for-money high-quality sports bike in the 300-400cc segment.
Impact on Dealers
The dealers in India are optimistic. Costs are lower in the form of upfront costs, which result in easier conversions of test-ride customers. A Bengaluru dealer reported that the number of festive bookings was already up by 15 percent following the release of new prices.
The GST action is an initiative by the government to create demand in the automobile industry. The policy is set to strike a balance between revenue collection and market expansion by focusing on the motorcycles in the aspirational premium range. Analysts observe that this will also see local manufacturers such as Bajaj, Hero, and Royal Enfield transfer similar benefits to their mid-point products.
As the festival season is already on, the opportune price adjustment made by TVS should result in high sales of the RR310 and RTR310. The dealers are predicting increased bookings in the months of Navratri and Diwali, the two months of the year that are traditionally the best months in which two-wheelers are sold.
In the future, the GST 2.0 design can open the door to greater affordability of motorcycles not only in the high-end sportbikes, but even in mid-capacity commuter. In the case of TVS, the new price of the Apache makes it one of the most affordable full-faired high-end sportbikes in India as of now.
